Lite mode with old OTB? How to resolve...
If you have an older One Time Buy (OTB) than the version of Wotja you are using (e.g a Pro 24 OTB in Wotja 25), then Wotja will operate in Lite mode if you are using any New Features in that later version. This video shows you how to resolve it. Alternatively, just Go Pro in that version of Wotja!
- Open the Wotja App:
Launch the Wotja App on your device.
- Open a File, e.g. a Mix in the Mixes Tab:
In the Documents screen select the Mixes tab and tap on a file to open it.
New Feature badge
- Indicates a New Feature dependency in that file.
- As you have an older OTB than the version of Wotja you are using it means a Lite mode auto-timeout will be applied when you play that file.
- See the FAQ "I have a XX One Time Buy but Wotja is in Lite mode. Why?"
- Store button shows "Lite mode"
It does so because a New Feature in use.
- Find out which New Feature(s) is in use:
Navigate to the Store screen and in the Top Text Panel tap on the expand/collapse button to see a list of the New Features in use.
- The New Feature dependency might be in a Template that is used in the Mix or in an SFX Network or a SoundFont etc.
- To see the FAQ "I have a XX One Time Buy but Wotja is in Lite mode. Why?" just tap on the list box.
- Remove the New Feature dependency:
Use instead something unlocked by your OTB.
- Tip: When using a Schema to create an Auto-mix or for in-mix randomisation, ALWAYS use a Schema for your OTB version or earlier.
- Wotja will then operate in the Pro mode unlocked by your OTB:
Allow a few seconds for the Store button to reflect the change.
- Alternatively:
Go Pro in your version of Wotja to support continuing Wotja development!
