How to Make a Mix Recording in Wotja
Tutorial assumption: The latest version of Wotja is installed on your device and you are using it.
In-app Mix recording (see Recording Formats) is only available in the Wotja App (i.e. not in the Plug-in). See also Share a Mix Recording, Preview a Mix Recording & Licencing of Recordings.
NB: Making video recordings is a W25 New Feature
General Tip for Videos: Rather than creating a video recording of Wotja you could instead use an audio recording of Wotja in a 3rd Party video creation tool!
Video Recording on Windows/Android device: In-app Video recording is not available to you but you could instead use the Tip above or make Video recordings of Wotja by using a native screen recording facility or 3rd Party App in/for your OS. To run Wotja full screen use the Actions button (Mix Display > Actions, Flow Player > Actions and Album Player > Actions) and then select the Full Screen menu item.
- Select the Mixes Tab:
In the Documents screen select the Mixes tab.
- Load a Mix:
Tap on a Mix File thumbnail to load a mix in Music Mode (Mix).
- Select In-App Recording Mode (App only):
Tap the Record tab at the bottom of the screen to display the Music Mode (Record) screen.
- Modify In-App Recording settings (App only):
Select or modify the Record mode settings to suit your preferences.
- Recording Format:
- Audio, MIDI (Pro mode only) or Video (iOS/macOS only).
- Note: Video recording is a W25 New Feature.
- Audio, MIDI (Pro mode only) or Video (iOS/macOS only).
- Recording Units: Seconds or Bars.
- Recording Time: The value here depends on the Recording Units selected.
- Recording Format:
- Modify Optional Wotja system settings:
- Make your recording (App only):
- Tap the Record button to start the recording being made.

Tip for Pro users:
- You can also make a Video recording that uses the audio from an existing Audio recording.
- To do that:
- Select the Audio Recordings Format Selector.
- For the desired audio recording tap on its Recording Item Actions Button .
- From the pop-up menu select one of the "Export to Video" options. W25 New Feature

Making a Video recording with Wotja operating in Lite mode, or with a XX One Time Buy for an earlier version?
- Before you see the options below you will see a pop-up alert with 3 buttons, "Go Pro", "OK" or "Cancel". If you don't want to Go Pro, then just tap "OK".
- The video recording time will be set to the Lite mode Auto-timeout value for Recordings.
- Go Pro to be able to record for longer or for a different time.
- Video recording options (iOS/macOS only) W25 New Feature.

- The Wotja Recorder screen is displayed to shown recording progress.
- You can at any time stop the recording being made by tapping the back button in this screen.
- Once the recording has completed this screen will auto-dismiss.
- The completed recording will be displayed in the Recordings List (i.e. recordings that are in the Wotja Folder).
- Tap the Record button to start the recording being made.
- Preview your Recording:
Audio/MIDI
- Tap the recording and it will shown an orange background colour whilst playing.
Video
- macOS:
- Tap the video recording to preview it in the QuickTime player where you can start/stop it.
- iOS/iPadOS:
- Use the iOS Files App to find the video in the Wotja Folder and then, still in the iOS Files App, tap the recording to preview it.
